Welcome to the website of the Rougham, Beyton & Hessett, and Rusbrooke parishes in Suffolk.
Dear Friends,
I am delighted to welcome you to the website for the churches of Rougham, Beyton, Hessett, and Rushbrooke, and I hope that you will enjoy finding out about the life, worship and mission of our churches.
Our benefice is a community of faith where everyone is welcome. Whether you are seeking a place to worship, exploring questions of faith, or interested in learning more about our beautiful churches, there is a place for you here. Each of our parishes has its own unique character and traditions, but together we share a commitment to following Jesus, serving our local communities, and growing in faith and fellowship.
What We Offer
Across the benefice, you’ll find a variety of services and activities designed to meet the spiritual and practical needs of people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Traditional and Contemporary Worship: From the beauty of Book of Common Prayer services to family-friendly worship, there is something for everyone.
- Community Events: From coffee mornings to seasonal celebrations, we are here to bring people together.
- Pastoral Care: Whether you’re celebrating a wedding, mourning a loss, or just in need of a listening ear, we are here to support you. We are happy to visit people in their homes or in hospital, and take Home Communion to people who are unable to come to church.
- Children and Families: We have a close partnership with our Church of England Primary school, where we run a weekly group for Babies, Tots and Pre-schoolers, and a Rock Solid lunch club. We are keen to welcome children and families to explore faith in creative and engaging ways through Messy Church Outdoors and Family@church. We also have good links with Acorns and Woodlands Pre- School.
